A. The ball screen is heavy-duty and heavily chromed. Has internal thin foam windscreen. Anti-dent ring is a nonagon (9-sided polygon), not circular, an "anti-roll" feature.

B.Mic element has integrated pop filter.

C.Handle is machined from thick-walled aluminum tube, not cast.A couple of ozs. lighter than mics made from cast zinc alloys, less likely to cause hand fatigue.The ON/OFF switch is more robust than found on other mics.

D.Logo ring under the ballscreen is actually a separately machined part, not just a piece of tape as found on other mics.

BUT, this product could have been so much better, if:

1.Microphone had a decent shock mount for the mic element. The handling noise of this mic is far greater than any other dynamic mic I have ever tried.Otherwise the mic gives a clear open sound, with much less of a bass enhancement (proximity effect), than most dynamics.

2.Included mic cable used more and thicker copper strands to make the shield wire, so they wouldn't constantly break.In about 3 hrs. of use, the internal shield strands (actually too few and not twisted together to call it a "wire") broke 3 times near the mic, giving an open circuit and loud buzz from the amplifier.Each time I had to cut off about 3 inches of cable at the mic end, and resolder everything to the connector; but the repair never lasts.The connector and plug are fine, the cable is CRAP!

3.The foam padding in the case was of one uniform color, and did not look "tie-dyed".

4.The latches on the case wouldn't keep falling off.

Having read this far, you will note that my 3 stars rating is generous. It was given more for the excellent concept of having mic, cable, and carrying case together, rather than its execution, which was clearly bungled by Pyle.
